Powertrain malfunction
I don't know because I haven't worked on one but your scan tool might read boost pressure under live data, you could use that to check it. IIRC the ecoboosts are tuned for 10psi from factory? If that info is available you should be able to read that. If you're seeing no boost or very little boost then it's stuck open, or at least not holding shut as long as it should. Not knowing what the case is, I would say be extremely careful as it could be staying closed and not releasing excess air.. Best to play it safe if you're not sure.
fun fact, 14.7 PSI is standard temperature and pressure, so depending on what area of the country you live in, your turbos @10lbs of boost make your 2.7L engine behave like a 4.54L engine, power wise.

I received the same error code, with both the amber wrench symbol and an amber check engine light. Engine reduced power when it happened, turbos wouldn't spool up. After I got home I restarted the engine and the turbos came back to life. After a few more starts the two amber lights disappeared. The engine operates normally now. Contacted the dealer and they were of the opinion they would like to see the warning lite on when they look at the vehicle. I will wait for the fault to come back before I bring it in.

Yes, any DTC codes your truck logs get stored in Ford's servers for 60 days before they disappear.

Has this problem resolved for you @Crazydad22 ? I also have a 2022 XLT that threw the same code. I only have 1,200 miles on it. Dealer logged it, called Ford and was told it’s a known software problem they are working on. Code came back today (5 days later). Truck is very sluggish accelerating. This is my 3rd F-150 in the last 10 years and to have these type of problems this early is frustrating. Thanks for any insight to what hopefully fixed your issue.

Thanks, any updates are appreciated. I had a 2012 that was bulletproof until 150,000 and a 2017 that was great until 140,000. Was planning on giving the 17 to an employee as a field truck, maybe I’ll give him the 22.
So dealer replaced the wastegate all together.. no issues as of now and hope theres none. They did say the wastegate was stuck in the open position and didnt know why.
