New powerboost, 1 week old, less than 1000 mi. I will paste a copy of the note I wrote for the service writer to give to the tech working on the truck at the dealership.
The truck had been running for approximately 1 minute. I backed it up to a trailer so that I could install the backup assist sensor.
The engine was running normally as I put the truck in park and exited. As I exited, the engine started running very rough for about 2 - 3 seconds and stalled.
It appeared that everything electrical running off the engine battery was operating normally, but the engine nor the electric motor would restart. (The engine would not turn over at all)
The following warning lights displayed on the dash - Orange “Check engine” light, red battery symbol (It did not specify if it was the engine battery or the drive battery), and another red symbol shaped as an outline of a truck with an exclamation point in the center. (I do not know what this symbol represents, because it is not shown in the owners manual)
All of the accessories in the truck seemed to be operating normally, but the truck would not start or let me take it out of Park.
After 2 hours of failing to find a problem, I called for a tow truck to haul the truck to your dealership. When the tow truck driver called to say they were on the way, I went to the truck to see if there was a way to put it in neutral for loading. I hit the start button and it started normally. The warning lights on the dash went out and the engine was running smoothly. I took it for a test drive and it performed normally. I canceled the tow truck.
Later that day my son brought over my code reader and we attempted to pull the codes on the truck. While attempting to scan the codes, the truck started running rough and stalled several times, but did not shut down totally or show any warning lights.
I had noticed previously that the truck would sometimes idle roughly while at a stoplight but it didn’t seem to be bad enough to cause concern at the time. I was going to have you look at it when I came in for my first oil change.
Engine sometimes idles rough while stopped at a light or when in neutral. Sometimes will stall out.
I have not heard anything back yet, they said they would look at it tomorrow. What I am trying to find out is what that red warning light in the shape of a truck with an exclamation point in the center, stands for. The service writer had no idea, it is not shown in the owners manual and a call to ford customer service was no help. It is NOT the hood open warning, the hood is closed in the light. It is on the dash next to the battery warning light. Anyone have any idea's what it is?
If you can pull the codes (I use forscan) then I can look them up for you. I have a service manual.
Thanks, I am not sure my scanner is reading this truck correctly. I don't remember the brand of my scanner (My son has it again) but it is the same one "Auto zone" uses. I picked up one generic code that I don't see listed anywhere (CO5CC), but as I said it may not be reading it correctly. It came up with the correct VIN number, but it also said that the truck was a 1991 model. The dealership is supposed to be looking at it today, so maybe I will know something this afternoon. Does the service manual show the warning light that looks like a truck with an exclamation point in the middle?
Texas lemon law is pretty vague... they use 'reasonable' too much, but keep a very detailed journal. From past experience, 'reasonable' constitutes three attempts to resolve a major issue. Good luck!
While this is true of most states, there are lawyers that specifically practice for lemon laws. I would encourage the OP to get a free consult with one.

So assuming that you mean C05CC, in a nutshell this looks like a computer issue, specifically an error with the ABS Module's programming. Maybe it was flashed incorrectly or the flash memory has gone bad, either way you definitely need to see the dealer. The recommended remedy seems to be to reprogram the module, but unless you have access to Ford Diagnostic & Repair System (FDRS), this isn't something you'd likely be able to or even would want to try to repair yourself.
Also, considering everything you've gone through, it's likely the AutoZone reader is giving you only a small piece of the whole picture. I suspect your truck has a wide range of electrical/computer issues. If your son has a Windows laptop hanging around and $50 bucks to spare, he can get a proper ODB2 reader from Forscan and have it pull a more complete picture of the codes your truck is going through.

Thanks for your help. I am sure the dealership will try reprograming first (Fastest, easiest, cheapest fix) Hopefully that will solve the problem and they won't have to start chasing parts.
If the hood switch isn’t making full contact when closed that may explain the truck not starting and the phantom alarm problem. Adjusting the hood stops takes a few seconds, it would be an easy thing to check.
I just got my powerboost back from service tonight after a week without it.
I was at a full service car wash when the shifter froze in park and could not be moved. The gear indicator next to the P for park was flashing. The truck wouldn’t start because it didn’t think it was in park and the shifter was totally locked up.
after 2 hours of dealing with it I had it towed to my dealership which was a challenge since the truck couldn’t even be put in neutral.
the dealer replaced the whole “shifter assembly” and a battery of some sort. The repair seems to have worked but I’m a bit nervous thinking it may fail again in a few weeks or months. Fingers crossed as I’ve loved the truck otherwise.
This is exactly why going with those powerboost trucks is going to be a problem. Mechanics don’t have the training or ability, to fix them . Like a diesel f150 they don’t see enough of them to understand the ins and outs.
Just Got mine two days ago. Reading this I'm afraid to drive. Mine was just built in June, I'm hoping these issues have been fixed. I have 56 miles on it, special ordered for longer bed.
