Default Ordered from Granger.. Shipping?

Since Ford is taking such a long time, I can no longer secure shipping which is fine with me.

It's not like I lost a deposit or anything. I know Granger's good, 4.9 out of 5.0 in Google reviews.. no other dealership comes that close.

Can I instruct Ford to ship it to me to another dealership after paying Granger?

I believe there is a program that allows the truck to be delivered to a different dealer than the selling dealer. There is a small fee and the dealer has to "accept" taking delivery of the truck. I'm sure someone with more complete knowledge will chime in on this

I think Granger would need to contact the dealer and ask them to do a Courtesy Delivery.

It can be done. I ordered a car while stationed overseas a couple of years ago and the Mil Auto Source uses that process to deliver the vehicles if you have it delivered stateside vs the duty station you ordered at

Granger has previously stated the DO NOT participate in courtesy deliveries. Basically it's a lot of work, and you also have to get the receiving dealership to essentially agree to do the customer service for free.

Granger does but said many dealers refuse to... even though Ford pays them, it's up to them to accept.

I learned one large Ford dealership in Los Angeles does that so I might be good to go. One review said that dealership accepted a new Ford bought in Kansas.

"Courtesy Delivery" - that was the word I was looking for. Granger said many won't do it, I found one in L.A. that just might accept it.

THANKS!

I tried all kinds of words.. the word was "Courtesy Delivery" - so now I'm using that to search dealerships and their reviews. Thanks!

Ok so this info was posted back in 2020. It sounds like they have softened on this.
