Order wait times
Yes that is a thing. I ran into it when trying to configure my truck, Antimatter was my first color choice but it won't go with the sport appearance package. I believe it wouldn't go with the black appearance package last year. Ford does not think Antimatter and Black go together evidently.
It's frustrating for sure. I had a Race Red 2019 Lariat that came out of DTP, but couldn't get a Race Red PowerBoost when I ordered because DTP was no longer doing Race Red, but they are the only plant that does PowerBoost (or were, maybe that has changed but I don't think so). So I had to pick a different color.
> Inform your teams that the final day to submit new customer retail orders for 2022 Model Year F-150 is May 13, 2022.
Is this thread out of date now? It's 2Q23 and I can still build a 2022 F-150 through the online build tool.
EDIT: Posted this in the wrong thread due to the thread being mixed in with another (relevant thread feature). I've turned that "feature" off now.

It's accurate, May 13 "ish" 2022 was the cut off date for MY 2022 F150's for retail orders. The Fleet order bank was open a couple months longer, but regular retail customers can't use that.
I have no idea why the 2022 build and price options are still on the website, but you can't order a 2022, and have not been able to for over 11 months.
I'm guessing the 2023 F150 order banks are closing soon. It varies year to year, i've seen it open as late as July in the past. I just placed my order this past week. The Super Duty order bank is already closed for MY 2023.
O ordered a King Ranch 601A about six weeks ago. Since then, crickets. I have no idea when it might get scheduled. I have yet to recieve a VIN. But as mentioned above, it depends on how your truck is spec'ed. I have read that there are some constraints which my truck would have and that is why mine is still up in the air.
Then again, I am prepared that it might take a while. I have heard of many who took 6 months (or longer) to get their truck.

I never received a con after almost 2 months I called ford customer care and gave them my order # and email and they found and gave me my vin then was able to track it. But the tracking schedule website was delayed. It says being built then a week later got a call from the dealer my truck arrived.
