Placed an order this morning. Hearing around 4 months to delivery. How realistic is this?

 

Maybe. Lots of factors, including how you spec'd the vehicle.

I ordered first days of October and supposed to be built in mid-Dec., but will see

 

Yeah, it's highly variable. Depends on plant it's built in, how you spec'd it like B&BGTA said, the dealers allocation availability, what Priority code they put on your order (10 is highest), and a hundred other factors. Best advice is to hope for the best and prepare for a wait.

 

I ordered a 501A lariat last week on 11/10 and it’s supposed to be built the week of 11/29. Went in expecting to wait 4-6 months and if everything works out I could see it delivered in 4-6 weeks…and some having been waiting for a really long time on a 2021 and never got them. Like the above mentioned I think a lot has to do with dealer allocations, priority, and just plain luck of the draw on scheduling. Hoping the best for you on a speedy delivery.

 

O ordered a King Ranch 601A about six weeks ago. Since then, crickets. I have no idea when it might get scheduled. I have yet to recieve a VIN. But as mentioned above, it depends on how your truck is spec'ed. I have read that there are some constraints which my truck would have and that is why mine is still up in the air.

Then again, I am prepared that it might take a while. I have heard of many who took 6 months (or longer) to get their truck.

 

what specs seem to decrease wait time?

 

What I have heard (and if someone has updated examples please correct me) was Max Recline seats, power tailgate, and power running boards. All of which my ordered KR has...

 

I placed an order 7/15 for my 502a lariat, the dealer told me 2-3 months. I just picked it up yesterday, just over 4 months.

 

last time i ordered was back in 2018 and it was 2 months to the day, given the current circumstances, 4 months seems pretty realistic
