Odd. Found on a 2020 Lariat. Not on any 2021s I can find. Shows up again on a 2022 Platinum and a 2022 Lariat.

@Jaystn62 @DuneRunr So.... try it out and tell us what it does!

Wonder if this is an expansion of the more basic valet mode the 2021’s have. Seems like a purely software update to limit speed/area; perhaps it is on the current build of 2022’s and will eventually be rolled out to other sync 4 trucks via OTA?

That is possible. But as of yesterday (June 6) my truck was up to date per FDRS.

And I thought (perhaps incorrectly) that the FDRS updates made the 2021 software modules the same level as the 2022 trucks have. IPMA may be the exception between 2021 and 2022.... not sure but is is notated different in the Forscan spreadsheet.

Weren’t later build 2021 trucks shipped with bluecruise active considerably before the updates that enabled bluecruise for early build 2021’s were available in FDRS?

I couldn’t see where or how to set the defined area though.

How can I get that dark screen? Mine is ugly gray.

Change it to night mode permanently and off automatic mode.

Yes. Job 2 2021s had Bluecruise from the factory. Job 1s had to wait until Feb-March 2022 to get the updates that fully enabled Bluecruise. And that was done by individuals using FDRS. Got mine fully updated March 23. OTA updates have been hitting in 2Q22 sporadically. Some Job 1s are still awaiting the OTA update.

I've seen this on a fully loaded 2022 Lincoln Navigator. You might want to read through its owners manual for more info. I'm curious if this F150 was still in factory mode or transport mode when you saw it. It might just be a global safety setting Ford applied to all new vehicles within their production area geo fence.
