Need Help with Reverse Chime
I am still trying to learn all the technology in my 22 Lariat and can’t seem to find anything about something driving me crazy. Every time I put the truck in reverse it starts to chime outside to warn people I’m backing I assume. Is there some way to turn this thing off ??

The speaker bypass kit above to disable the horrible fake UFO whirring noise that Ford decided to use for the engine sound and also the beeping like a garbage truck when it backed up is a great option. Why Ford decided it couldn't just keep the ICE on and electric motor off when backing up is a mystery to me. Also, the horrible UFO whirring noise makes it sound like something on the truck is broken - why not make the speaker under the hood make a sound like a real Internal Combustable Engine in drive when the ICE is off up to about 15-20 mph where the tires can be heard better?

Electric and hybrid drivers are insane when it comes to fuel talk. Any time the engine comes on you'd think the world was ending.
I haven't head the power boost but since I am in a Toyota, I can tell you when a Toyota is coming from a few hundred feet away, and that is just driving forward!

The FORSCAN option still requires to unplug a wire under the glovebox somewhere and I didn't feel like take plastic pieces apart so the Megahomotor sport option was really easy. Just need a hook tool from harbor freight for a couple bucks. I didn't have to remove any bolts. I used the hook and needle nose to unplug the wire.

To be honest, if Ford or people in general are thinking this noise is what saves lives, well, let’s just say BS. When walking through a parking lot I never rely on the sound of anything to keep me safe. You can’t hear the vast majority of cars anyway. I use my eyes and watch what’s going on around me. Same thing if I’m the guy driving; I always look in all directions before and while backing. I would hope everyone does. When’s the last time you’ve heard of someone being ran over by a vehicle backing up, ICE or electric? This beeping is overkill by government mandates. If they are so concerned about protecting lives, they should address obvious issues by forcing manufacturers to correct faulty components before anyone is killed and not wait until there is enough press or several dead people.
