Not much of a answer to mounting but a different camera method. I use a Rexing M3 Mirror Cam full rear-view mirror replacement.

No help with those already bought but a type (lots of different makers) that offers a different mount. KM

This is another option if you don't want to glue anything to the glass. Blackvue front and rear with Blendmount .

@jmacco2 I like that holder, is that from Blackvue or is that a third party?

@2017bluetruck I thought about that one, but for really no good reason I opted to not go for it.

Also in TX, in the Dallas area.
My A129 Duo is mounted just left of the rearview mirror, hardwired to the fuse panel. Wiring runs up and tucks under the overhead console, then inside the headliner, across to the passenger side A-pillar, then down into the fuse box for parking mode.

A while back, I had the windshield replaced by insurance.

To get it ready for the windshield guy, I parked the truck facing the sun to warm it up.
It took a razor blade going slowly around the edges, prying as I went to actually get the mount to release, then lacquer thinner & then alcohol to get all the sticky off. I tell you, the red VHB tape I used to mount it is very sturdy and getting it off was a biatch.

It had been on there over 2 years at the time and I used the same red VHB to mount it back on there.

I went with fitcamx, it uses power from auto dim mirror so no need to route the long wire, and it uses a screw from rear view mirror to mount. They have cameras for most car brands and models. Quality wise I’d say they are pretty average (if not below) I had blackvue on my last truck and the quality is way better. I like their easy/clean install. That’s about it.
don’t get me wrong, it works, but it seems they spent lots of effort on a nice packaging but the item inside doesn’t match the package, during install, I see exposed wires hand soldered onto a printed circuit board that looks like the pcb from my kids $10 toy train. lol

Default Fuse Taps

Which fuses did you tap into? One for the accessory and one for power? I would appreciate if you could share? Thanks Fred M
