Default mirror tilt (in reverse)

Does anyone know how to make the door mirrors TILT down when putting the truck in reverse?

I recall on my '17 350 there was some magical button / programing sequence that stored the tilt position....would love to have my mirrors tilt down on my '23 F150.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm coming from several sedans that had this feature (which was selectable/engaged depending on if you had the passenger mirror switch selected or not). It's super handy when backing up next to a curb.

on my '17 f350 (and '20 expedition) it is not automatic....the process is that you shift to reverse and then SELECT the mirror that you'd like to tilt....and all of that is done AFTER youve programed the desired tilt position.....I could be dreaming here but it would be nice if the reverse-tilt didnt require em to select a mirror.

Someone on another forum suggested using the number 3 memory function as the designated backup setting which is what I did and it works great. I really only need 2 memory settings so the third has now become my setting when I am backing into a parking spot.

This is what I do. That way when I need them to point down I hit the number 3, if I don't then they stay where I need them.

i tried that before on my 2018 but I believe it had to be in park to change the memory settings. Is that the case with 21+ or not..

No it doesn't have to be in park but I think you have to have your foot on the brake.

Ok, I understand the memory part, but how do you actually tilt the mirror down?

Tilt both mirrors down where you want them and then press and hold the number 3 memory button to save the mirror settings, then just go back to the memory setting you use while driving. When you need to park, press the number 3 memory button and the mirrors will tilt to the angle you set them at to help with parking.

Maybe I misunderstood your question. If you want to know how to tilt the mirrors down, the button is located on the driver's side door above the window up/down buttons. I have a Lariat so I am not sure if lower trims have that option or not.
