When signing be sure to review the writeup sheet well. Both dealers tried charging full document fee prices even though x-plan places a cap at $75.00. In my case that was $400+ in savings by itself.
X-Plan caps document fees at $100, not $75. A-Plan caps it at $75.

Multiple ways:

1) Your company may be a Ford supplier. Or, you know an employee at Ford.
2) Your company offers it as a benefit. This includes lots of companies including Best Buy, Dick's Sporting Goods, Black and Decker, Discount Tire, Harley Davidson, Kroger, Quicken Loans, Stanley Works, ...
3) Your organization offers it as a benefit - Mustang Club of America (60 day wait), Experiment Aircraft Association, some college alumni associations.

Thanks for responding. #2 and #3 is not an option for me so looks like I need to go with option #1 and find someone who is an employee that will "sponsor" me to get an X plan.

Yeah I joined Mustang Club just for it. But there is the 60 day wait period so maybe that doesn't fit his timeframe.

EAA doesn't list any waiting period...

Hmm, somehow John's post about sighing up with the Mustang group did not come up. I see it now and will apply. Thanks guys!

Is this using X-plan or straight negotiation with the dealer?

Straight negotiation. It would be a factory order. Probably leasing and the lease payment backs up what they put together.
