it was an incentive that was in place to place an order for a vehicle. I think it expired 10/4 if I recall.

I think the name and program number for it was Retail Custom Order Bonus Cash, Program #38150, expired Oct 4 after a few extensions. I think it was a national offer, not regional, and should apply on any orders submitted perhaps in June (can't remember the date) through Oct 4. Your dealer should be able to find it in Vincent.

I was just looking online and the name may have been tweaked and it may have been extended through Jan 3, 2022. Someone like Anthony H might have additional, more accurate info.

So my Ford dealer in HI yesterday, 10/15/21, converted my 2021 F150 Lariat order, originally placed 9/1/21, to a 2022 order. On the preview order, the Dealer used same Sales Code but different Order Code and price level. Dealer said my order was part of the COVP program. The 2022 price is only $360 more than the 2021 price (total price before taxes and doc fees about $61K).

However, the preview order does not include the $3500 rebate the 10/13/2021 article by Brett Foote states is a formal Ford program.

So is this $3500 rebate:
-optional for the dealer or
-applies only to certain dealers or
-will show up when l am given the Retail Order contract to sign??

Or should I be pressing my dealer about the rebate?

Thanks. Love to know that I am getting factual info and not someone's presumptions...

Press….it’s worth a lot of money to you and 1 less year of “age”.

I was told if you have a VIN it’s getting built as a ‘21. Dealer told me they were expecting a slug of ‘21s over the next 60 days.

He said you have no VIN so you are now a ‘22. We reordered thru the COVP. My order was taken and acknowledged by e-mail from Ford to my dealer as ‘accepted’ and he screen shot my accepted reservation to me. Told me I’d get my choice of $3500 + $1000 or $1000 and 0%/72 months.

ive run the numbers so if you have a high credit rating you can borrow at rates low enough to make the $3500 the right choice.

Just sent him another email. Asking if there was any word from Ford on when the cutoff is and that there's a lot of individuals saying they were able to change theirs! We'll see what he says.

Another update when I asked about changing from MY21 to MY22 "I'll see what I can do. If you wanted to change to a 2022 you could now, but you'll be paying more for the same truck and have a longer wait since Ford is going to make all the remaining 2021s first."
He's still kind of skirted the questions regarding the $3,500 rebate and getting me a screenshot of the COVP input. So I still have nothing to track with.
