Default Keyfob Tailgate Release

I didn't see anything in the Forscan spreadsheet for 2021 F150 to disable the tailgate release on the keyfob. I read where this could be disabled on earlier models of F150's with Forscan. I had my tailgate release while the keyfob was in my pocket and the tailgate opened and rubbed against my bike rack.

1: We wait and see if we get the feature when ford pushes out the big BlueCruise OTA Upgrade.
2: We obtain the VBF files and can try to update the modules manually (I haven't been able to find any of the files yet)
If someone knows how to get them then please PM and I will be the guinea pig.
Dang, I was wondering about this as well, especially since the 22 super dutys have the ability to view cameras at speed and they also have sync4 but they must share newer firmware with the newer built F150s

Question Trailer Brake Controller install

Hi, everyone,

First time F-150 owner, but not a first time truck owner. I upgraded my 2019 Chevy Traverse to a 2021 F-150 Lariat 2.7 EcoBoost, V6. I've gone through just about every forum and website I can to get the trailer brake controller installed and up and running. Fortunately I was able to find this, https://www.levittownfordparts.com/d...-19H332-AA.pdf, and order the correct part and install it - which was a breeze by the way.

I am now stuck on the FORScan portion. I found the module in the spreadsheet (I think), but I am presented with an overwhelming choice of options.

IPC
Trailer Brake Control - Enabled

IPC (As Built)
720-07-01 xxxx x*xx xx--

If I understand this at all, I obviously want TBC enabled
What is the TB? Is that what my engine is or is it a feature I can turn on and do I want it?
I assume I would want DGI enabled.
NSS should already be enabled since I see it on my HUD.

With these options, I would think I want either E or F, which would have Turbo Boost on, but it would have the NSS either in the NA or ROW setting.
Otherwise, if TB isn't what I want, my choices are A or B.
Is there anything I am missing or overlooking and what selection should I pick for the IPC (As Built)?

Thanks everyone.

Thanks everyone.
If you have the 12" digital cluster then you can kill two birds with one stone here and enable the trailer brake and the digital temps on the engine/transmission gauges with this:
IPC 720-07-01 xxxx xE5x xx-- turbo, trailer brake, digital temps enabled

You'll also need to enable the trailer brake in other modules as well below so use the spreadsheets for those and configure those values:
BCM 726-69-02 xxxx **xx xx-- TBM_Available_Cfg: 00=Absent 01=Present
BCM 726-69-02 xxxx xxxx **-- TRM_Available_Cfg: 00=Absent 01=Present
TRM 791-01-02 xxxx x*-- TBM_Cfg
APIM 7D0-09-03 xxxx xxx* xx--
IPMA 706-18-01 xxxx xxxC xx--

If you get stuck on anything then private message me your VIN and I'll help out

Hi Livnitup,

This is great. I got a couple of them working just fine, however I have a concern about a couple. I am receiving the following message, especially for the first "2 birds, 1 stone" modification and then for the following modification:

It may be a typo if you enter as-built data from a reliable source. It may be OK if you change the configuration. The following block(s) have this problem:
7D0-09-03
Continue anyway?

Is this something normal? Maybe I am misreading something somewhere? You've helped me at least get the truck to recognize the controller at least, thank you very much!

Also when modifying the last IPMA, I get the error, Service procedure has been interrupted. I've rebooted my laptop and turned the truck off and on, twice now. The help says make sure the truck is not moving. I even put the parking brake on. Oye!

Thanks, your suggestion worked. I was able to disable the button on the keyfob for the tailgate release.

my trucks thermometer is about 15 degrees off (hotter) then what the temp actually is.
I get that vehicle thermostats are off by a few degrees but I think 15 is way to much.
TIA.
With ForScan you can monitor many different PIDs in real time. I’m curious if this is just a matter of the dash pulling data from a different sensor assuming there is more than 1
