Default Ford Pass Points?

Are you supposed to get some for buying a new truck? This is probably addressed elsewhere, but didn't find it.

Call the customer service line if your points have not loaded. You supposedly have 60 days from time of purchase to call. Not sure why if it is Ford's job to load it into your account.

42,000 points for purchasing a new truck, which equates to a little over $200. I used some of mine to buy rear wheel well liners and have enough left over for an oil change or two. Mine appeared in my account after a few days.

Thanks for both replies, I will get cracking on the call. Perhaps the dealer has to cover some of the costs in which case, "forgetting" could be profitable.

Dealership issues. They are supposed to load automatically IF the dealership does their part. Not all of them do.

I think it is more that there is nothing in it for them so they forget. If they were getting a kick back too you can bet they'd do their part!

There is a link in Ford Pass for missing points, its under the "more" button, click FordPass Rewards, scroll down to My Points History and at the top is "missing points" and there is a link for a new vehicle purchase

Thanks, that didn't work which still leaves me thinking the dealer is is not doing their job. I did catch the fact they dated everything on the day of the deal and didn't correct the date or the mileage to when I took delivery. It is only four days, but with my luck, it will be one on one of those days that the entire electronic system blows! I will dial up the customer service line.

I am thinking more that they have to contribute something to the points rather than a kickback.

I am pretty sure all of the points come from Ford Motor Co. They are funding it, and they pay the dealership when goods and services are rendered in exchange for loyalty points.
