Default Factory keypad code issue

Ok, I am little afraid that I am just missing something really simple, but here goes.

I picked up my new 2021 F-150 Lariat yesterday. Got home last night and started reading the manual. Went out to the garage to set up a new easy to remember code for the keypad... can’t find the card with the factory code on it. No problem, internet to the rescue and I get the procedure to pull the code from the system.

Into the system settings menu I go and it tells me the code i am using in invalid. I went through th process to pull the code from the system again, I even took a picture of the screen with my phone... No joy. One screen tells me the code the other one gave me is not valid. Worth mentioning I suspect, that it also does not unlock the door.

Anyone have thoughts? What am I missing?

Thanks

I would take it back to the dealer especially since you did not receive the original card with it on it, unless they stopped providing.

I can’t remember how to do it but search youtube there is a way to get code as long as you have both keys.

He stated in his original post that he has already done that....and that the code the truck gives him does not work.

I tried adding a code with the screen (I have the card with the factory code) and it didn't take so I used the procedure on the keypad itself and it worked fine.

I thought about that too. The code also does not work on the keypad...

I will be calling the dealer on Monday.

Yeah mine was on a business card sized card in a plastic window in the cover of the abbreviated owners manual. The bummer for me is that my 18 250 allowed for five codes for friends and family.

For what it is worth, I “Chatted” with Ford today.
They suggested a reset of the SNYC system and if that didn’t work, a trip to the dealer will be required.

This was new to me so I will publish it here.

Turn the system to Radio
Push and hold the power button and the Right Seek button at the same time.
About 5 seconds in the screen will go planks and a ford logo will come on.
Release the buttons.

Not that it worked. I will be headed to the dealer.
