F150 Lightning
Yeah, for me it went off the rails when people rightfully said that an EV truck wasn't for them, and the EV environment-first crowd started telling them they DIDN"T have a choice. LOL
I didn't, commonsense tells me that a generator would be more useful in a snowstorm power outage.
Speakers. They already pump engine noise into the cab on the EB, so why won't they put an external speaker on the Lightning so everyone can hear it and "truck guys" will still buy it? There are still many people out there who will only buy the 5.0 because of the sound.
he said exhaust not speaker sir.
No, I'm pretty sure you can't put loud exhaust on an EV.
I got a crazy one for ya! Speakers in an R8 wheel well.
Yep, according to the B&O site its a subwoofer."Subwoofer is positioned in the unused cavity of the front wheel liner"
Make it sound like a V-12!

And the subsidies that the dino fuel industry has gotten over the years, well, let's see.
Quote:
Tax subsidies for oil, gas and coal development are expected to reduce federal revenue by $11.5 billion from 2019 to 2023 (figure 1). ... Integrated oil and gas companies may deduct 70 percent of these costs in the first year and recover the remaining 30 percent over the next five years.
Quote:
Oil companies can—and often do—defer federal tax payments. ... Oil companies are able to deduct such significant portions of their revenues through a tax provision labeled the “depletion allowance,” which was passed in 1926. The 2017 Tax and Reform Act lowered the tax rate for U.S. corporations, including deferred taxes.

How much does the US subsidize the oil industry?
A conservative estimate from Oil Change International puts the U.S. total at around $20.5 billion annually, including $14.7 billion in federal subsidies and $5.8 billion in state-level incentives.Nov 25, 2020
So we are talking hundreds of billions in SUBSIDIES for the oil industry over the years, but we can't afford a penny for BEV subsidies.
And you want to argue about a $7,500 BEV incentive FOR CUSTOMERS, not CORPORATIONS? Give me a break!

This isn't some big secret that the Oil & Gas industry has been holding close to their chest for the last 50+ years. Do some of your own research before you start blasting the subsidies that the EV industry is now getting, lol.
