yes, I seen this in the 2021 Forum, Its something I am considering

My dealer told me it could be 2022 before i see one tho

Still not a bad ideal to get the bugs out first before buying

I think the Lightning is a home run and perfect for 99% of everyone. Even with a 300 mile range max, that’s incredibly adequate. The majority of people don’t commute that in a week, especially not in a day, and those that do aren’t in the market for an EV yet anyway. So realistically you’d only be charging ONCE or twice a week for a FULL charge. So let’s say your to work and back commute is 20 miles one way. You plug it up every night to charge like advertised, and it would have plenty of time to top off while you slept. You wouldn’t have to worry about range at all. It’d literally be full every morning. Now obviously if you tow heavy loads hundreds of miles at a time very frequently, this truck isn’t for you. I’m not sure why people are quick to flame it because they try to think up XYZ scenarios where it’ll fail. I’m sure any V8/Ecoboost owner could do the exact same thing in scenarios where an i4 would fail... bottom line is, it’s not THE replacement for the current F150, and it isn’t meant to be. But it’s a hell of an I.C.E. breaker. And I for one, am super excited about it.

I already reserved mine, Quick question since the dealer has not reached out yet.
If I have a trade? how does that work, since once it's ordered you are stuck with a specific dealer. Should I just wait and see who will give me the most for my current truck and then order it?

any thoughts? I might cancel it and either wait it out next year and order it sometime in 2022, or a powerboost 3.5 Hybrid F150 instead.

Originally planned on getting an F150-Tremor in 2022, or the 3.5 Hybrid, now I really am excited about the Lightning ( unless it's not A/Z plan eligible )

Then buying the battery seperate? And belonging to a battery co-op whereby you could go cross country and stop in and have the battery swapped out in a few minutes to a fully charged one and away you go?

Similar to a bbq and propane tank?

Imagine having a spare battery at home?

Okay haters...have at 'er!
Oh my oh My .. Where to start,, First Haters ,,, really so before anyone has a chance to say squat you go to name calling, not a great way to get any other ideas... Now For the Idea ,,I believe Tesla started out this Idea of swap out of battery . It was way to expensive and the automation to make it so added a large cost.. Also the last time I looked a Tesla battery on a model S weighs hundreds of pounds.. The next Idea is not to own a car just use what you need and leave it at a charge station for the next person just lease it ,,, such a nice egalitarian idea...NOT,, UTOPIA is only a figment of some commie professor pushing this crap on american youth.. Critical thinking is becoming rare,, sadly

Well if you find a dealer that will give you a quote on your trade a year or 2 in advance let me know.
