The 120/240 mobile charger comes standard with both range models.
The 80A bidirectional charger (that can be used to power your home with the truck) also comes standard with the 300 mile range model.
The 48A charger is optional for both models.
Most newer homes have 200A service with a supply to the meter that can support another 100A without adding another meter/service line. Mine does, built 2007. My detached garage was not part of my house design and was built three years after my house was. Added 100A service/breaker to it coming off my meter without having to add a line....which is probably why if you look at most representations of the big charger they show it mounted outside the house. Of course you'd need to check with your power company.

In the U.S. and China, it expects half of its sales to be EVs by that time frame.
And those are facts. So, explain to me how America is forcing Volkswagen to build BEV's in the USA?
Who is going to build those 30 million BEV's that Europe is mandating, if not us.
If you are going to wire in a new circuit you may want to consider the 50amp.
It would give you the ability to charge faster and the cost for the 50amp (48) versus the 30amp is quite trivial.
50amp is what I have running my hot tub. (for example)
Thanks. I have a 50amp for my hot tub too. I will have to add a 100amp sub-panel or get 2 or 3 piggy-back breakers to open 2 more slots for the 50amp.

Might as well Heat my Garage too in the Fall and prepare for the EV-future and put a 30 or 50amp receptacle in my garage !!
I have ordered one, it's only $100 and I have a lot of time to think about it. My only concern is towing range... I don't tow often, but I do have a 24' covered trailer that I sometimes go a bit of a distance with. The Frunk has me excited.
Ford hasn't yet said what the Kwh is of the battery?
According to another article I read the 300 mile range is based on having 1000# in the box and the range could be even more.
I don't know that I want to jump in and buy the first year of this truck.
My 2018 will run a few more years i'm sure...
That all said I'm pretty stoked about this truck.
Can't wait to see it in person and see how well it performs. This is most likely going to be my next truck.
I really don't see a lot of people with 100amp service being the sort of norm...installing an 80amp chrger.
But who knows maybe they will.

Is 100 amp service the norm nationwide?
I'm in a 35 year old home here in Vegas, and have an original 200 amp service, in a house with gas heat, gas cooking, electric ovens, gas HW heater.
I'm guessing that it has to do with having air conditioning. My first floor 5-ton has a 60 amp breaker, the 2nd floor 2 ton has a 40 amp breaker. Most 2 story homes here have 2 A/C units. Of course, they don't run on all those amps, but add an electric range and an electric HW heater, and you end up with a 200 amp service.
So I suspect that there are a lot of hot summer area homes that have that service, so an 80 amp charger, that is only used at night may be feasible.??
Whether that will work is up to the electricians.

I own 4 homes...all in CA. 2 have 200A services and 2 have 100A. The 100A services were built in the 50s or earlier. The 200A ones are built after 85. Only one of the 200A homes has AC and it also has a swimming pool.
Many new homes I see being built around here actually have 400A.
