What color is that truck?

 

They have largely shown the front already, just in heavily darkened room. I suppose that is just a little more tease a day before, so they were probably fine with it. Better to get a tease shot with the President when you have that big of an audience.

I think the true reveal is going to be specs and hopefully price. I don't think it's a secret that it will look like an F-150, that seems to be what Ford is trying to do with this vehicle, and I am all for it. I don't need them to try and make a CyberTruck that is... polarizing, or that Hummer truck which I don't think looks that great (obviously all personal opinion) and is going to cast an arm+leg. If Ford can keep it looking like the top selling vehicle in the country with maybe a few styling cues to help it stand out, that's a winner for me.

 

That's cool, as long as there is a sport model. That looks chrome on the front and that would have to go, otherwise I am all for it.

 

While I hope you are right on what details they will give at the "reveal", I don't think we will get specs or price. We don't have specs on the Raptor or Tremor yet, and just barely got pricing on them. I expect the Lightning reveal to be similar to what the Raptor reveal was where we saw it driving around and that was about all we got.

I am curious as to why the Lightning in the screen shot above doesn't have fog lights.

 

I seriously doubt there will be a "frunk", and I am not sold on that LED strip going across the entire grille yet.

 

I got my invite to the reveal tomorrow, I will let you guys know if it's awesome or not. They asked in the submission for the raffle what you drive and I proudly mentioned my F-150 PB, haha, must have put me over the top. I am definitely excited for it.

 

I think this will be a little different though. GM put out expected range/power/price for the Hummer, Tesla always loves to shout price/range. That doesn't mean Ford has to follow, but at least with EVs what most care about right now is hearing the range and price. I suspect Ford will at least be able to give us an idea. We have most of the Raptor and Tremor specs and have had them for a while. We don't know final HP/TQ on the Raptor, but they are probably going to be tuning as much as they can out of that until the last minute. The Tremor will have the 3.5L TT and we know all its suspension specs and that, only thing missing from it I think is fuel mileage. With EVs, there isn't a ton to talk about aside from range and price and maybe 0-60 since at least with the F-150 it looks like it will otherwise be an F-150 in looks and features. Will be a short presentation if they just roll it across the stage and go, "It's so quiet! Alright, see ya!"

Edit: I watched the video, he was guessing, he tossed out a few numbers to the Ford rep who was like "We aren't releasing those numbers yet". Then he did a hard launch in it, thing definitely has bite.

Well he said 4.3 and then the Ford rep said 4.4, then said we haven released those numbers yet. I'm assuming 4.4 will be a lower end Standard Range type deal
