Engineer needed for service.
Took my 2021 5.0 in for service on Wednesday ( hard idle, low oil, blue smoke)
I called to get a update this afternoon and they told me they are waiting on a Ford engineer to help them.
I asked again if they found anything wrong and he said not that we see but it’s a little bit more in-depth then we looked at. They told me if I needed it I could come get it. No time frame on when the engineer will answer them.
So I’m a bit confused and wondering if there is actually something major wrong or I should just go get it. I’m leaning towards leaving it for obvious reason.
has anyone had a similar answer like this?
I have posted before in other threads about the issue and have got some answer and mentioned those when I dropped it off for service.
truck symptoms 1869 miles
getting blue smoke on cold start in the morning after I back out of the driveway and hit the gas to go. Some mornings it’s really bad some mornings it’s just a quick puff.
this Monday morning I started it with the app let it run 10 mins took off and had some of the normal steam and then thicker white smoke that changed to blue about 30 sec on the gas.
Tuesday I had my father come over and went through the same thing started it let it run left it in the driveway and gave it a few quick revs and had 2 big blue puffs and you could smell the burning oil.
when it idles it’s around 600 but it feels like it goes through cycles of it really struggling and it shakes the seats you can feel it sitting In the drivers seat.
maybe that’s just how this engine is. maybe im over reacting but I feel something is definitely wrong with it and now they are saying they need a Ford engineer.
thanks for reading this long post and I appreciate any advice.

Updated on it. Finally heard back from the engineer. On 7/6 he wanted them to pull the plugs and check for oil.
they called me today 7/8 and told me there was oil on them and heavy oil in the bank.
they took pictures of everything and are waiting to hear back from the engineer again for his decision/next step
the advisor said he has already looked in to new heads and they are readily available so they won’t be hard to get.
not at all what I wanted hear. Hopefully the engineer gets back to them with the decision soon.

19 days at the shop.
they were talking new engine then all of a sudden a tsb that I never got to see pops up.
they said the computer was messing up and shooting oil into the intake and that’s why there was oil everywhere and the rough idle.
the paper work said it was normal for the engine to use so much oil on break in and they wanted to monitor the truck over the next 3 months until the first oil change.
I’m not going to continue to drive a brand new truck that I need to keep adding oil to.
the truck is gone and unfortunately I think it’s the last Ford truck I will own for awhile.
still have the 19 explorer that’s great.
wish I had just kept my 14 raptor.
