Engineer needed for service.
I just went back over the paper work The tsb that was preformed was TSB 21-2159.
honestly i missed it prob in anger after speaking to the service advisor and hearing him say it was a break in period. I threw the paper in the bag as I was cleaning it out.
the paper says refer to page 462 in owners manual for break in period of the engine.
Maybe I should have fought it but at that moment I was really fed up with it.

Issue: Some 2021 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 5.0L engine and built on or before 23-April-2021 may exhibit a Low Oil Level message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) message center with a dipstick oil level reading above the minimum line. This may be due to a software parameter within the powertrain control module (PCM). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM.
Action: Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition if the vehicle meets all of the following criteria:
• 2021 F-150
• Built on or before 23-April-2021
• 5.0L engine
• Exhibits a Low Oil Level message displayed in the IPC message center with a dipstick oil level reading above the minimum line
Thanks for linking that!
I did have the low oil light twice.
I feel like that tsb dose not address when they called me the 2nd time saying they had it apart and the spark plugs were covered in oil along with heavy oil in the banks and were waiting for a engineer. 🤷♂️
I hope none of you encounter this problem and like it was said before lemons do happen I understand that.

I hate to tell you, but the engineer they're talking about is a Ford Service Representative that travels in a circuit visiting dealerships. Any major repair will usually require his approval, and in most cases he'd want to see the vehicle in person. He could be either a technical mechanic type or most often one of their college graduate employees with some technical training.
When they have high priced repairs, the Service Rep will often require the dealership keep the parts they removed for inspection. And depending on the problem, they will often have a protocol when dealing with a common problem--like pulling the plugs for inspection.
If a engine has blue smoke and oil is in all cylinders @ 2,000 miles, it wouldn't have been unreasonable to ask for a new parts crate long block engine be installed. Sometimes it's cheaper than going on a wild goose chase replacing parts. And the fuel injection has nothing to do with any oil either.

it's a PITA but that's why it has a warranty, getting a whole new motor is probably the best outcome vs having the shop dig around in the motor. It's not like the engines are numbers matching or anything any more.
Hey atleast Ford is consistent with the 5.0 consuming oil
. One of the reasons I ditched my 2019 5.0 it would but 3.5qts every 4k and was told its normal after multiple oil consumption tests and TSB. The final straw with that truck was the transmission going at 27k and finally being replaced at 37k. Finally caved and went with a 2021 EcoBoost and couldn't be happier. Ford truly has ruined the traditional 5.0.
Unfortunate you had to go through this....wish you the best with you next truck.
