Default Differences in sound deadening between trims?

Hi all, as the title asks, is there a difference in how much sound deadening there is between trim levels? Specifically thinking of STX, XLT, and Lariat trims. If/when I buy a new truck, I like quiet cabins....

Cool, thanks. I was searching for "sound deadening" rather than "sound insulation", so failed to find this thread.

My STX doesn't seem to have the SoundScreen windshield that thread refers to. I don't think there is anything else in terms of sound deadening that exists between trims specifically. Having said that, having carpet will provide more insulation than not. Lastly, the higher trims still have the same plastic interiors but the pieces are covered in vinyl and sometimes leather fabrics which would add "some" measure of natural sound dampening.

All that said, my 2024 STX is pretty quiet compared to my earlier trucks including my 2015 F150 Lariat and my 2016 Super Duty.

I believe there is a difference. Having-‘15 Lariat. ‘19 XLT, ‘21 Lariat, and now ‘24 Lariat, I can tell you the XLT was noticeably louder. In addition to the sound screen and hood insulation mentioned on the other thread, I believe there is more door weather stripping on the Lariat than the XLT. I have not compared them side by side, but in detailing my own trucks, I believe this to be my observation. There are more books and crannies on the door wells to clean on the Lariat. Might want to look at them side by side.

Net, in my untrained ear, there is a difference in sound level between the XLT and Lariat.

Yeah...it's been covered many times, but always seems to be a difference of opinion as to how MUCH additional "sound deadening" there is. Has anyone actually taken a decibel meter to differently equipped vehicles to prove it? My 2020 SEEMS quieter than my 2010, but...by how much? Hard to say. It's not like I had to yell to be heard inside the 2010, lol!

regardless of trim levels just look at the steps the audiophiles take to add sound deadening materials.
One area that is easy to access & gives dramatic dividends is the door panels and the rear cab walls.
It would be interesting to see if the panoramic roof panel trucks are louder.
