Default Another P/B battery question

So Ive researched the forums and only found 1 that could have my same problem.. Last week at 8pm leaving work ,my truck stalled in parking lot,all the low battery/power onboard/check engine lights came on..I was going to fill up as my low fuel warning came on that morning. The dealer had it for 6 days and said the only issue they found was no fuel pressure. so they put 5 gallons in it and said all was good..Ive had the truck since new and have had the low fuel light come on probably 5 of 6 time, but never had an issue.Anyway was just curious if its happened to anyone else.I only had to pay the 100 buck deductible on my extended warranty.have 95k on the truck.Ill be replacing the 12v battery soon

Why run the tank down that low? These trucks have shallow tanks and can starve the pump when too low.

With the expense of a fuel pump and high labor costs of changing a tank mounted fuel pump, I never, ever let my tank get below a quarter. Every time you run the tank down to near empty, you start to starve the fuel pump of the cooling provided by the fuel it needs for operation. while it’s that low, the fuel slashing in the tank creates a situation where the pump can suck air as well. Cavitation of the fuel pump is rather hard on it as well. Your fix is to either keep more fuel in the tank or start saving to replace the fuel pump

As far as the battery, the Napa battery is an H7. So a bit larger and more capacity. Would also suggest replacing the auxiliary battery at the same time. Many install a larger 14ah battery
