Default Cool Seats question

I just picked up a 22 Lariat yesterday and was rushed at the dealership so I didn't go over much with the salesman as I had another appointment. Question I have is it was warm so I had the cool seats on high. Work great. Today when I got in they came on right away. Is there a way for these not to come on by themselves? Like maybe a setting? Thanks in advance Diamonddot

The system will remember the last setting that was on when you turned it off.

I just picked up my Platinum yesterday, and was able to get about an hour of instruction from my salesperson. It was kinda like drinking from a firehouse, so I don’t remember exactly where it was, but there is a setting for what seat cooling does when you start your truck (either “off” or “last setting” I believe). Go to the Settings button on your screen and scroll and you will find it, along with a gazillion other options. These truck have far more settings and options than the 2010 I came from. Not sure if that is good or bad .

Thanks for the quick reply. Not what I wanted to hear. That sucks. It was hot when shut off and cool in morning when started up.

I can’t guarantee that this will fix your problem, but I’m pretty sure that it will help. Go in and play with these settings:
  • Settings, Vehicle, Remote Start Setup, Climate Control, then choose Auto or Last Settings
  • Settings, Vehicle, Remote Start Setup, Seats and Steering Wheel, then choose Auto or Off

I know if I had my seat coolers on when the truck was turned off they will come on again when I restart, so try and remember to turn them off when prior to shutting the vehicle down. I am not one to make it a setting though as even though it is warm out I dont want them on all the time.

If you use remote start....the truck will sense the temp and adjust the seats to compensate. Hot outside the seat vents will be on. If it's cold outside the seat heaters will come on. That too is in the settings I think.
