Default Price increase question

I did comment this in another thread but thought this might be useful for others if they question anything. I know Ford had a price increase, but I was curious is this was a set price or a percentage increase? Also when looking at invoice wouldn’t it only effect the first number you see which states the truck?

Reason I am asking is because the dealer I ordered from sent me the invoice again and it shows price increases on truck, sport package, rim upgrade, equipment group, etc.

Any input I appreciate!

Some items didn't increase, some did. Percentage-wise, the increase varied so it wasn't consistent.

Ok, I thought it would just be the truck and not the packages and wheels. But thank you for clarifying!

Trim packages were affected by the price increases.. tire and wheels, I didn't see an increase. Some parts were increased though.

Yea I thought that was odd for tires to get increase, but hey whenever they can.

Why is your dealer sending you price increase invoices on a truck you ordered? Ford protects the price at the time of order so your order is not affected by any price increases after order. Some dealers have been taking advantage of customers who are uninformed and charging for the price increase and then pocketing the difference. I hope your dealer is not doing that to you.

They sent me this when they gave me my DORA

*the POC/DORA may not be the final invoice price & only an estimate…Ford/Stellantis occasionally has price increases during the course of production“

Even with the above statement I should be able to get it at same price originally told?

Plus some packages exist that didn't before. Eg Bed utility package.
Other packages price increased eg sport.
Engine choice price increased.

There is always going to be price "fiddling". Its like someone new is making the decisions every three months and plays with prices to suit their mentality....

FWIW, my dealer always seems to have vehicles on the lot, usually in a fixed formula similar to the spec of my truck. Perhaps they have found a combination that Ford can built and deliver. I have noticed they also order on spec a Lariat or two, but to keep prices down, these are usually 2.7 not 5.0. Most of the trucks regardless of trim level have Sunroofs but I suspect that is an option that will potentially not be checked to reduce the bottom line.

So I did just chat with Ford and they stated if there is a price increase after the order date you are protected.

Does anyone have the exact dates of when price increases were?

the price protection stuff depends on when you ordered as to where it falls. If you post the date the order was accepted by Ford someone may be able to help you find the documentation. Basically the invoice, window sticker etc... will all reflect the new, higher price but the dealer goes back to Ford for the difference
