My 21 came with 3 years. Never use it. Expires this coming April.

Log into your Fordpass/Owners account. It tells you when the subscription expires (under Connected Services).
I don't expect things to be free, but I did pay for all the hardware and initial data set and updates. The incremental future cost to Ford, spread over all vehicles sold, is almost zero.

And it comes closer to the scam that other brands use, where owners "license" options that are again paid for as part of the vehicle purchase, like heated seats.

I’ve used it a few times, not a big fun. Google map usually provides better route. Also don’t quite like the color scheme or i’m just used to google maps.
one thing I do like is that it “poops” on the route via-ed, so easy to back trace if needed.

I’ve also learned that weather, including radar weather is lost after the prepaid period.

Put me on the fence about subscribing. Having the weather radar so easily accessible, without grabbing the phone has been very useful many times.

they should follow XM’s habit. Discounting. I just picked up another year at under $5 a month. I’ll cancel at the end of the year before it goes away.
The app "MyRadar" is free and displays on your screen through apple CarPlay very similarly to the built-in weather radar.

Also, I've found the biggest benefit of the built-in Nav is that it displays your next turn and distance on the dash between the tach and speedo. CarPlay does not translate directions over to the dash like that, but I wish it did. My trial on my 21 is just about up, still not sure if I will renew.

My 24 with Android Auto does this. I never use the built in maps anyway so no big deal about the subscription.

I use Waze - and that shows turn by turn and distance on the dash. So does Apple Maps navigation.

I don't think I have ever used built in nav in decades. AA and Waze or Google Maps FTW.

Bought my Powerboost in June, I have a one year nav service.

When it expires, I’m not sure if I will renew or not. I don’t like to rely on phone only. I’ve been in places with
no service before. But, have a map and can read

With Google Maps you can download offline maps to your phone. They take up surprisingly little space. They are at least as functional as the Ford Map, even as not as functional as online google maps.

Android Auto shows the directions on the dash. That's odd that CarPlay does not.
