Default Built in alexa

I have a 21 F150 xlt with the upgrade sync (bigger screen, nav, etc). I’ve read I’m supposed to get Alexa built into the sync system via an update but I don’t see it. How do I go about getting this update? How do I know which version it is in and which version I have? If I have it already how do I find it?

I am interested in hearing about this too. I have a 21 F150 Lariat with sync. If I check the truck, it mentions the upgrade will have alexa enabled, but I can't see it when I go to settings. The truck came with co-pilot 360 assist, and the nav, plus (3 yr subscription), but I wonder if I need to pay extra to get the alexa. Also, I am in Canada so I am not sure if they are rolling our alexa at the same time as the US.

No you do not have to pay for the Alexa service (initially) you will get 3 years free from the day you receive the 3.5.3 power up OTA

btw the sounds of it, 3.5.3 has it. Mine is at 3.5.2, and says "Alexa built-in.. is coming to your vehicle soon. Stay tuned because another download will arrive soon to complete the process".

It happens when it happens I guess

The update has since expired and nothing is pending at this time. I recommend having getting a battery maintainer and setting your update schedule in SYNC and you'll have to wait for them to push the update again.

Alternatively, if you have access to FDRS and an appropriate communications device you could update them yourself.

I just got my 2023 F-150 Lariat and I also don't see any Built In Alexa icon (can't find it anywhere). My wife has it on her 2023 Expedition. Is Alexa not available on the F150s?

I don't want to use the Ford+Alexa app, that's something different completely (requires the app to be open AND CarPlay disabled).

My 22 came with Alexa and it works seamlessly.
