A good set of shocks would make a huge difference, much more so than tires. Recommend Fox 2.0 all the way around, the front will be coilovers, easy to swap over if you have any mechanical ability.
well there you go... it probably never had any notable compression or rebound and was 100% relying on the coil & leaf springs.
As stated above... there are many options where the replacement components are notably better.
FYI here is a distinct photo of chinsey the OEM components (on the right... note the shock body widths) are
Rebuildable components cost a lil more money up front but you get dramatic more service life and ride comfort vs disposable stock.

Im partial to Falcon due to my experience with their product in a friends vehicle on some very rough terrain. I also do a substansial amount of off highway driving to get to our ride spots in SE Georgia with my personal truck.
Fox, King, Eibach, Icon, etc... all offer above entry level small lift (3") components. And sure you can buy replacement monotubes for a few hundred dollars... but bigger is better when it comes to shocks.
Folks that opt for a $50 puck or blocks really have no concept of what good suspension feels like let alone drives like.
