Default Bed camera issues !

PURCHASED a new 2023 F-150 Lariet! When i picked it up the dealer was showing me some of the features and one was the bed camera. Then if you pushed the button again you would get the view beyond the bumper. A couple of days later i tried to use that feature again and no more bed view ! Any thoughts would be appreciated. Neil

Do you mean you can find the feature or when you select the camera its a blue screen or something other than proper video?

I had problems with mine and it was a bad camera.

No, when i first p/u the truck, the dealer was going through the trucks options and he showed me the rear camera option. Push the button above the screen once and you have the bed view. push it again and you have the view beyond the bumper. now when i push the button i get the view beyond the bumper only.if i push it again it says that full view not available !

The menus may look a little different depending on if you are sitting still or moving but the function is basically the same.

When you bring up the camera view press this button.

Then select the bed view.

Also depending on the version of software you may have bed camera at speed on the side bar. Scroll through the options until you find bed camera and hit the camera button.

My bed camera was showing the blue screen of death intermittently. Made an appointment with dealer service and then it started working again on my way to the dealer. Cancelled that appointment and then a week later it stopped working again. Went to another service appointment two days ago showing the blue screen and the camera needs to be replaced. However, they are on national backorder. I have a 2022 Job 1 King Ranch PowerBoost.

I had the same issue but intermittently. One day I went to plug in my boat trailer and the truck side plug was a little loose. Pushed it together until it clicked and thought nothing of it. But since then my bed camera has worked perfectly.

Don’t know if it will fix your issue but worth a shot.

I must of got lucky because they replaced mine about a month ago and I didn't have to wait on one. Mine would go in and out, a good bump would cause it. I talked to the tech and he said it was the connection on the back of the camera, he could push on it and it would go in and out.

I know it's a weird question, but are you sure you saw the bed camera? The 2023 F-150s have been coming without the bed camera for a while now. The window sticker will say CHMSL Camera Removal, here is a window sticker for an April 2023 Lariat as an example:

You may be thinking, but my salesman showed it to me! But a lot is happening at delivery, so maybe he hit the button and described it as bed camera but was flicking through stuff and you never saw the actual camera.

Now, if your truck was built around February 2023 or earlier, then you probably have the camera. Just offering a possibility since it sounds like you got the truck so recently.

I have a '21 with the bed camera. It use to be available to view in motion, as could the rearview and hitch view. Now, when I hit the camera button, I no longer see the 3 parallel lines in the upper left corner of the screen, allowing me to change to a different camera view. I just get the standard rear view.

If I am running in split screen, I can select the Bed Camera in the right side pane while in motion.

I am on Sync 22293.610. This change has been goping on since I believe 3.5.3 or 3.5.4.
