I keep this exact one in our 2 vehicles. Needed it twice in our daughter’s older vehicle. Once it was a low battery. Once it was absolutely dead 0 volts. Worked great both times. In 0 volt case I had to use the built in override because it could not detect a battery but the unit cranked it great and off we went.

Finally persuaded the dealer to replace my battery but the truck still went into sleep mode after sitting 3 days..

I went a year and a half with battery issues. It would start out the Auto Start Stop would not work, then the remote start woudn't work.
Every time, the dealer said battery was fine?
I would throw the AGM charger on it when it happened, do a BMS reset and it woud be fine for a month or so.

4 months ago I went out and bought an H8 AGM and haven't had a single issue since, even going through the coldest temps in years, without plugging it in, leaving it for up to 5 days without starting it.
It hasn't caused me a single issue since.

That's what I plan to do..Service like that is why I'm leaning against getting extended warranty..Ford seems to have few fixes for their problems. Who wants to leave their truck at the dealer for days or weeks because the tripmeter is resetting on it's own?

.
Some info to know about.
In the Body Control Module, there is a section called VQM or voltage quality module.
It is a DC to DC up converter that powers only those modules that have anything to do with auto stop start.
If there is a one volt difference between the input and output of this converter, the auto start is inhibited but does not prevent manual starting otherwise.
It indicates an Issue or fault and sets a screen alert to manually start the engine.
A huge hint there is a Battery problem for some reason.
Good luck.

Worst part are the dealers all telling people that their batteries are fine. With being such a huge issue with so many people, you would think Ford would admit they screwed up with putting faulty H6 batteries and should have used H8? And stop telling people that they need to drive their trucks more,

Not that I care about it now, I haven't had any issues. I will see in 6 months or so.....

I will eventually get a H 8 battery but I really would not expect that to solve the problem..I would expect it willl just take a week more before the truck goes into sleep mode..

I also swapped the OEM Motorcraft H6 for a Wal Mart H8, and that has appeared to solve all issues.

My truck was built minus auto stop start, so never had that issue, but my State of Charge (SOC) would routinely hover in the 40's and low 50's. Monitoring the charge output PIDs, even with that low SOC, and 14.8 or more "desired" charging output, the OEM H6 would never take more than about 5 amps (except for a short burst immediately after starting). Most of the time, even on long drives, it would only take 1 or 2 amps charge -- even after I changed the SOC target to 95% using FORScan.. Once replaced with the H8, the charging system now routinely charges as much as 15 amps or more until it starts ramping down as the SOC approaches the 95% target. At no time since I replaced the battery has my SOC dropped below 80% -- even after the truck has been parked for several days. I believe that my OEM battery was probably either poor quality, and or damaged from sitting months while waiting for chips (Blend in July 22, arrived at dealer in Nov 22). I believe I could revert my target SOC back to the default of 80% with no issues as well, but see no reason to. Your mileage may vary.
