I have a 2026 Platinum and I had to enable Walk Away Lock using Forscan. For some reason on the 2026 model year it isn't enabled by default. The setting has to be enabled in Forscan and then turned on in the touchscreen settings.

Yea, we are not sure why the config is turned off on many vehicles. On the Lightnings, it was supposed to be turned on with an OTA update, but if you had the BCM updated, you could just turn it on yourself with FORScan and not wait for the OTA. The 2026 should have it enabled from factory, but to me, it is not surprising that you had to enable yourself.

I disabled mine as well to help with the low battery charge issues these trucks have. Like you if I have my key FOB I'll hear relays clicking but at least it isn't lighting up like a Christmas tree every time I walk past the truck.
