I've got one, it came with the truck, and it rocks! It draws in cool air from the very front of the truck, can't beat that for low temperatures!

My only complaint: Leave the front push-nuts out, the 3.5 eco will suck the rubber scoop in on itself! Max Powah!

You're welcome!

My stock one is great!!! Fits well, looks like it belongs there. Truck starts when I want it to and there are no driveability issues. AND, it maintains my factory warranty!!
Thanks for asking😎😎

I have a K&N and I love it. I feel that it provides superior airflow over the stock set up. It also improved throttle response and it added 1.5-2 mpg, all combined to make it well worth it.

No it didn't add 1.5-2 mpg.

Ford, and all manufacturers, spend millions of dollars in R&D to gain tenths of one mpg to elevate their CAFE numbers. If a simple air filter would provide 1.5-2 they would be all over it.

Aftermarket intakes also restore hair loss and allow your engine to run on water from a garden hose.

Some aftermarket units make more noise than other aftermarket units. That's about the best performance gain you'll get from it.
If you'd like to add one, probably 2 things to consider:
1) Purchase the one that looks the best -they all do the same thing as each other and as your factory does. The aftermarket flows a bit more air but that doesn't mean the truck doesn't realize it is lean, bumps up fuel, and the O2 sensors meter the fuel appropriately. And with 400+hp, the slight tweak in spray pattern won't make your 400hp truck turn into a monster. You may gain throttle response at idle if you rev it though. So on your V8 with the nice new muffler, when you rev it it will rev faster and sound great sitting in your driveway.
2) a dry filter element so you don't have to add the cleaning/oiling to your routine maintenance schedule. Tip, keep two filters so you don't have to take the truck out of service while you wait for the filter to dry after you've cleaned it and waiting for the oil to tack up (if you get a wet filter)
