i know the 2.0 KW pro power does not have a lithium ion battery equipped, and the motor has to be running at all times if pro power is on. i know the 7.2KW has the lithium ion battery, but donīt remember if the 2.4 does or not

Yes, if I kill the truck when I start it I have to turn on the generator. I actually need to have mine checked. I recently ran my camper during the winter storm here in Texas, only about 300 watts for lights and blower for propane heat. It did great all night and used less than a 1/4 tank but it malfunctioned after I shut it off and restarted. And it had the smell of burned wiring. After it had been off a while it went back to working.

you can turn on pro power onboard through the app right? but the ignition might have to be on for it to power on, regardless if the motor has been started from the app

I just started mine with the app and could not turn on pro power. Not definitive but probably have to start the vehicle and turn it and utility idle on and then you can control from app. All I have used app for is to check the current watts being used.
