Default 2kw pro power and remote start

Hi guys, im about to order a xlt 302 5L with the 2kw generator. I want to plug in some small appliances like coffee maker while camping with trailer and no internet connection. If i use the remote start from my key, will the generator kick in? In my 2018, there are 3 choices of run time. Can this be turned off in the 2021 so the motor can run more than 15 min?
I asked the local dealer and they knew nothing about this system blaming it on ford for not providing training...
Tkx

My generator is active when the vehicle starts (7.2kwh version). I think you can also use the Fordpass App to control your generator if yours does not come on by default.

TKX for the tips but where I go, there is no network connection which is why I must ensure the system will work with key fob remote. On non hybrid version, from what I understand, they engine must be turned on at all time for the generator to work compared to the hybrid model that will automatically kick in when required.

Gotcha. ...well, if it's non-hybrid and the engine is required to run, would make sense for the generator to be live by default once you start the vehicle.

This is what the user manuals says
Note: All other vehicle systems remain off
when you have remotely started the vehicle
.

I assume this will leave the generator off?
Manual also states that you must turn on the truck manually after 2 remote start. Hopefully trucks with pro power have a bypass for that.

Anyone yet with non hybrid pro power on here? Dealer said they are super hard to get.

Can this be turned off in the 2021 so the motor can run more than 15 min?
I'll let this slide, because you probably don't have your Owner's Manual.

https://owner.ford.com/tools/account...rd&model=F-150

Note: Automatic engine stop is disabled
and the gasoline engine will continue to idle
when the outlet is switched on.
As for Remote Starting, the only way to know for sure is to try it, according to the post above.

I don't know that the 2kW should be that different from the 7.2 or whatever, in all the videos I have seen they go into the ProPower on their HU and turn it to generator mode or whatever, and that manages the truck running automatically.

Your dealer is also a liar, Ford has had ProPower training out for months and months, just like they have had Mach E training out for months. Yet I heard in a meeting today someone say their father went to check out the Mach E and the salespeople were "clueless". Like with any job out there, you can't really force people to give a damn.

This is funny, my local salesman said the exact same thing about the mach E and did not understand why clients knew more about it...

I will probably place the order and do some testing and post a video.

I have the 2k generator but unfortunately I do not have remote start except through the app. I often start the vehicle with key , turn on pro power and then turn on utility idle and remove key. This allows you to lock it up and it can’t be driven but remains running.

Great info tkx so much.
Do you have to turn on pro power every time you turn off and on the engine? My goal is to shut down the engine for the night, remote start it from my trailer so i can power on my stuff. Going to alaska in a few months so it might be cold in the morning.
