Yeah, it's a quite few hours of labor. Even though it is a bolt on kit, you still have to remove parts then add a lot of parts and then hook it all up and re-fill verify the fluids everywhere. Do the flash and button it all up. A large FORD Perf dealer usually needs 4-5 days to do the install.
Call any shop that does SC or Turbo installs and ask them for a quote. It will be 2-4G's easy-

You can do it at home, but it is a medium to higher level skill install AND the warranty concerns. I have no issue paying 3G's for the install. I get my stock warranty and a 3yr, 36K mile warranty on the blower.

For reference, my Vette install was 2500 and it was all bolt on as well.

It's a 1-day (8 hour) install for a competent technician who has previously installed a few of these. I am not a tech and did my very first install, really taking my time, in 15 hours.

Default Then why get a v8

with your logic of why add a SC, why get a v8?
most people spend a lot of time in their vehicles. And I say the same for bed mattresses. You spend a lot of time in them, get what you want. I know I’m in the v8 chat, just wanting to learn but I have a 2022 ecoboost with stock turbos and fuel delivery and even stock muffler and on stock 33s in 4door 4x4 with a great tune from Mike at MPT my daily driver with subwoofers and full interior I run the 1/4 in the 11s on the weekend and back to hauling my mini excavator and dump trailer on Monday without changing anything. It’s enjoyable. When I drive like I’m trying to break MPG records I get over 20mpgs and before anyone says “we’ll see how long that lasts” I have over 286 0-1/4 mile digs and my best time is 11.58 with 0-60 in 3.55 or by the certified drags 0-60 in 3.28. It’s really fun to have the option to humble 98% of cars from a stop light at a whim🤙🏽

agree completely but lots are hell bent on V8 sound. I’m from Maui where the 22r was king. Got my very first non Toyota in 2022. Got a 4door 4x4 ecoboost. So stoked on it. Worked extensively with Mike at MPT and I took my daily driver/tow haul truck to the certified drag races with subwoofers and full interior and factory 33in tires. Stock everything but intake and inter cooler just tune and ran in the 11s I’ve done over 186 0-1/4 hole shots on my dragy and so far so good. Best time at legit drag race 11.58 get good gas mileage and love the ride. Full stock. Gonna lift 3 in so I stop racing. Best 0-60 verified is 3.28 that is insane. And if don’t believe check out More power tuning on social media. I’m the silver 4door beating a hellcat on very first run down the track 🤙🏽

Gonna take mine in late Aug and have him do the upgrade. 13K for the kit (includes a tune from FORD Perf) and the install. You retain your factory warranty on the truck and you get 3yr/36K miles warranty on the blower as well. Only caveat is they have to be installed by FORD or an ASE cert mechanic. Not all dealers will do this either. None of my local dealers are "FORD Performance" dealers, so I am gonna load up the Ducati in the truck, take it 300 miles west and drop it off for a week to get it done, then ride the bike back out to pick her up when completed. You could also buy the kit direct from Whipple and have it installed but those are not covered under the FORD warranty umbrella.

I can't wait to get Plain Jane some goodies under the hood!
13k seems super pricey? Is the part 9k or more?
or is it because you retain warranty? Not here to dog at all. Love all force fed engines. Of course here I come referring to my 22 3.5 eco but I recently raced a 23 5.0 NOT super charged but had the typical intake, exhaust and was same 4door 4x4 33s as me. But I tuned my truck although extensively it’s still stock turbos and fuel delivery and muffler. They ran 14.9-15.2 I ran 11.91-12.08 i truly believe the 3.5 eco is the best bang for buck in any vehicle possibly ever. Literally 800$ in power upgrade. I’m a Toyota guy. From Maui. If you ever been to Hawaii you’ll know. But love my first ever non yota truck. Check out More power tuning social media. I’m the silver 4door 4x4 that smokes a hellcat and I have full interior and subwoofers. And it was my first ever attempt on the drag strip. 11.91 🤙🏽

Correct, they are stage 1 without the throttle body upgrade, so pulleying down is not a good idea.

Tuned 3.5 ecoboost will struggle to hit 700 hp that the Ford Whipple kit makes, and likely won't reach the 800 hp the regular Whipple kit makes. Then a mild pulley down and retune, and no question. 🤑

Same, did mine in 2 days in a garage with only a couple special tools Whipple recommended, will do another on a F250 this month. It's not tricky, read the instructions as many times as needed, and go for it.
