2024 FORD Perf Whipple kits for the 5.0 are approved
I believe they are Stage 3 (as in 3 liter). For 2024 they are not California legal apparently as stated in the FORD Performance page:
- CARB certified 50-state legal for 2021-2023 (E.O. #: D-231-89)
- 2024 for non-California vehicles
What would keep you from pulleying down, other than voiding the warranty?
Tuned 3.5 ecoboost will struggle to hit 700 hp that the Ford Whipple kit makes, and likely won't reach the 800 hp the regular Whipple kit makes. Then a mild pulley down and retune, and no question. 🤑

Do/would you ask the same question regarding a Tesla Model S Plaid?
Talk about not knowing your audience, a good portion of this forum is about modifying vehicles. We don’t need this kind of curmudgeonry.

Seriously dude, you are welcome to your opinion, BUT, I am 66 year old GROWN ***** MAN and every 4 wheel vehicle I own is boosted (3), well all 3 will be soon once I get the F1fiddy done. My 02 Vette has a Centrifugal SC on it and my AMG is twin turbo. Where boost comes in really handy is the added torque in everyday driving. It makes passing a breeze without having to rev a lot or drop a gear. It makes the car more responsive and more FUN to drive-and yes, you can go faster, but it is not always about speed. Maybe you ought to try something before you hate on it. I always love the "public roads" argument.
That's why-

The 5.0 will last a long time at 700 HP and below 10 PSI on a stage 1 with regular driving, once you start going to stage 2 kits and adding a ton of boost you are shaving off life fast. Some people want 700 HP and a long engine life, a stage 2 isn’t going to give you that but the FP-700 will all day.

A tune on a 3.5 voids your warranty immediately. Plus these days they need to send you a new modified PCM to tune a 3.5, it’s not a reflash anymore. The Ford Performance kit for the 5.0 gives you a 36k mile warranty for 700 HP. It is the clear winner if you want any warrantied power and was tested to hit a minimum target 100k miles lifespan.

My 2020 broke a piston skirt while tuned, Ford didn't even look at the tune, they replaced the short block, no questions asked.
And there is currently no tuning for 2024's that I am aware of, so a Whipple is the only option one can pull the trigger on, had I know that it was going to remain this way, I likely would have ordered another 5.0, and another Whipple.
This whole post is wildly speculative, and mostly incorrect..
