Default 2 Beeps While Idling

Anyone know a way to turn off the horn from beeping when you let your truck idle and leave with the key fob? Ppl keep thinking I’m beeping at them but I’m just trying to keep my truck idling then locking it with the key fob. It beeps instantly when you close the driver door, not from hitting lock on the fob. I started using my phone to lock/unlock and I can use the door code but I prefer to lock it with the fob and take the keys with me.

You need to use the tool called FORScan to get into the computer settings to disable it.
There is a sticky thread in the 2015 category of what FORScan is.

Software download (free) to a Windows PC computer and a select OBD II reader that is designed for use with FORScan, about ($40).

FORScan allows many other fun tweaks for your Lariat or above trim level.

There aren't other options.

If you prefer not to use FORScan, you either adapt using the keypad to lock the FOB inside or your shut the motor off.

I used the dongle from 4Dtech that connects into the OBD port, and SOLVED the problem. 99 bucks. It was a bargain for me, because I just get crazy over the double beeps - especially at 0400 in my driveway. Others have said that if you leave your fob inside, it won't do it. My brain aint got enough gas going to it at O400. haha

Thx for the info, does this void any type of warranty? I heard dealerships come up with any reason to void stuff if you mess with the settings like that. It’s a lease too. Any idea if the dealership would disable it with their computers?

Hi there. This noise concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your F-150. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

Okay, this one I can't pass on.

Can you tell us how you researching the VIN and a local shop can help in this situation? The vehicle is behaving as is expected -what is Ford going to do for that?
That's like saying "I pressed the window down button and my window lowered, how can I prevent the window from lowering?"

A response from Ford could be "I'm sorry that your vehicle is behaving properly?"

If you plug it back into the OBD port, it reverses the changes.

Funny.

I actually had a comment in my post joking about them commenting about retaining warranty but I removed it.

They have an install video, take a look -it's short enough and informative.
