Did you try to disconnect the battery, let the truck re-learn your driving from the stock tune, it may be looking for the values from the "removed tune" and saying hey this isnt right now Pow- a Code. I would try and reset it and drive it a few times and see if the codes clear up. Before saying you do have a real problem.

Good luck, happy motoring.

Default Custom tuned keeps making my truck not crank

I purchased a custom tuned from ssi and at the time I had a sct x4 tuner well the guy sent me two tunes to try out and all three times we tried to program the custom tunes to my truck the programmer would cycle all the way to the end and right before it was done it always threw a code and said program was denied then the truck would not crank at all or would it go back to stock tune so I had to call sct every time and they had to rewrite a recovery tune for it just so I can get it to crank then we thought it was the tuner so we sent it back to sct they didn’t send me a sct x4 they sent me a bdx bullydog tuner brand new so I got in touch with ssi he wrote me another custom tuned again for it and with the new programmer it did the exact same thing so I had to call sct again and we had to go back to square one and rewrite a recovery tune again just to crank the truck had anyone ever had this happen or have any info or input on what I can do

Input: Stay away from SSI.
Do some research and you'll understand.

I was actually considering SSI for a programmer and custom tune until I came upon this thread. Any recommendations on a safer bet for a 2014 5.0 street tune?

Hi guys! I don't like to provide negative feedback to any place or supplier, but I buy the programmer with some tunes, I use the one time only, with one of the provided tunes, I don't know if I did something wrong, but programmer says program complete went finish without any error, I went to test my 20 2.7 Eco and suddenly the vehicle shutdown at 105 mph, in the middle of the highway, All lights in the dash came up, I tought that I screw the engine or something, I turn it on again return to home and programmed back to stock, for my good luck everything works fine again, do you have any site that you can recommend to buy a decent, daily use street tune? if is permitted to post reference, if not no problem, but I don't want to waste my money again. Thanks!

A truer post has not been written! In Fact, I'd say any retailer selling SSI, should be avoided, as they don't really care what they sell you, as long as they make a profit!
