Just looking for opinions on which cold air intake to purchase...
2019 2.7L v6
I've been recommended Roush, S&B, K&N etc.
Feedback would be appreciated

Thanks

S&B makes nice stuff. Never been a fan of K&N.

None will add performance. If you want the engine compartment to look better and be able to hear the intake noise, buy an aftermarket cold air intake. If you want performance, skip the intake and get a tune.

Just buy a dry drop-in filter like an AEM for the OEM airbox and call it a day.

I like that Volant has always been focused on being a closed box. Years ago when all the other companies made lots of open style intakes to be hip and cool, Volant was fully enclosed. They have always seem to focus on actually being a cold air intake like you should want. Hot air bad! If I ever do an intake just for fun it would be what ever one keeps the engine heat at bay. I personally will do an intercooler or the Mishimoto upgraded radiator before an intake. Those should give far better overall everyday performance and reliability to these boosted wonders.

I like my S&B, bought it in a package from stage 3 with a tuner and tunes so cost me like $180. Quality piece and love the extra turbo sound.

I have the S&B on mine, i think it's a good intake and it looks nice and is definitely solid quality.

I had a Volant on my 07 3V truck. I did like the larger closed box, my 07 truck had a Borla exhaust, VMP tune, and the volant and the truck ran well with it. Those open box systems I just dont get. I had an Airaid open system on my '13 Ecoboost and intake and charge temps were hotter than factory; put the OEM box back on and the truck ran better.

I remember when JLT came out with an intake that wouldnt function properly without a tune, intake temps were stupid high.

Will help if your turbos are maxed out, but thats about it. At altitude, my turbos were maxing out around 37 lbs/min. I picked up a 1.5 lbs just by replacing my old filter lol. I saw an increase in the inlet pressure of the turbos.

If the aftermarket filters flow that much better then they will help prevent pressure drop across the filter and feed the turbos denser air which means they won't choke as soon. But again, the turbos would need to be maxed already to see the gain.
