Another point worth noting if anyone does this mod it’s mention on the SD forum that this leaves power always on so one complaint is that if you leave the switch on when you shut off the truck the coil stays energized and will drain the battery over night. If I try to do this I will wire the relay to a keyed power source instead of always on. For racing I don’t think I would forget to turn it off but if you were in the mud or snow I could see driving around and forgetting to turn the switch off.

Here's an update for anybody still interested in this:

My kit arrived today. Took 10 minutes or so to install simply because my dodge was parked too close so i didn't have a ton of room. Also didn't slide the passenger seat back.

BUT.... the important part. I have the wiring exactly as their directions and diagram say/show it being routed and the kit works great....BACKWARDS. i think they messed up the pin pattern on the relay they sent me because with the switch in the normal "UNLOCK" position the diff is locked and upon starting the truck it gives me a "check locking differential" message. Pull the switch to the "LOCK" position and it unlocks. You can both hear it happen and feel it comparing the 2 positions in a turn. Unfortunately they're not open until Monday and it's Friday night now. I sent them a message on Facebook but i doubt i get a response until Monday. Im quite unhappy to pay $50 for a relay that required cutting 2 wires in a not so easy to reach location for it to not work as advertised

Bummer. For the price I would have hoped it was plug and play...not cut and splice. My msg to them went unanswered anyhow so I will take my business else where.

Cool story bro.

How about we wait for the answer from the person who had this issue and not the peanut gallery?

The OP already confirmed they can’t even pin a connector. That’s not including the multiple people who have had them overheat the wiring, fall apart or have other bad connections. The peanut gallery may know a thing or 2....and know better than to buy this junk after seeing the large amount of failures.

Good for you. I'll wait to hear what the actual fix was from the person I tagged.

he’s right. they quit responding and I just live with it at this point. If anybody else needs to drive the truck or I like when I was getting new tires, I either turn off the switch with Forscan or unplug the relay and just push the switch in so it looks “normal”

damn, and here I thought we might have a really inexpensive mod for an awesome upgrade... sigh... guess I’ll still be going with the tried tested and truetrac.
