E85
.
... What are you talking about? I'm talking about the amount of total fuel being sprayed out of the fuel system, not the content...
The content is literally in front of your face, you don't need to explain to me that e30 is 30% ethanol and e70 is 70% ethanol dude...

LOL.
it's to the point where most folks serious about running it and tune for it carry around testers to make sure they're safe.
If its a flex fuel vehicle E85 will make more power with less fuel mileage. As stated above E85 from the pump varies from pump to pump so if your tuned to the edge of verified 85% test every time you fill up. If its not a flex fuel vehicle make sure all fuel system components are E85 compatible. E85 will destroy rubber O-rings and seals. Its also corrosive to bare aluminum.
It works great to mix it with a 5.0 with a 87-93 octane tune. It also will help ensure if your on 93 tune that you stay at least at 93. I always wonder if the gas guy can make a mistake or if the fittings are different for the different octanes when the gas truck delivers. Any way yes more power and yes less fuel mileage.
Okay, I have emailed back and forth with Bret over at MPT. He stated that the F150 will have no problems running E30 with a proper tune. They currently tune for E30 but it takes a few data logs to really zero it in. He also explained all of the variables and talked me through what to expect. I am going to proceed with an E30 tune and I will chronicle the process.
