@BlueFlame2015 just a 8" sync 3 screen @Thor1 i had the apim installed on my 2015 f150 with my 8' sync 3 screen i just went back to sync 3 since my unit is jailbreak

 

So I would have to upgrade all the parts to sync 3 then this APIM?

 

no if you have sync 3 you just switch the apim

 

Will there be features that won't work? Is there programming that would be required for functions to work?

 

"On my F150, the only thing I couldn’t get to work was the updates. Everything else—radio, XM, wireless CarPlay,iphone maps , iPhone, and Wi-Fi—worked fine."And remote start it did work but i did had to mess around with forscan to get everything working

 

How did you mount the 12" screen when you had the factory 8" bezel?

 

"I didn't mount the screen; I only swapped my Sync 4 8-inch screen with a Sync 4 APIM on my 2015 vehicle. The 12-inch screen was not used. I did create a custom bracket to connect to the mounting brackets of the Sync 3, but there was an empty space where the Sync 3 screen used to be. Since it looked ugly, I removed it."
