Default What is this?

I recently purchased a 2015 3.5L eco boost and noticed a little oil on the ground. But it doesn’t look like it’s coming from the engine. But a little further back on the driver side on something else. Any advice or anything I should check. Thanks

There are cooling tubes on the back of the engine that route coolant to the turbos. These tubes have O-rings where they connect to the block and the turbos. When they first start to leak coolant, it will look somewhat like oil or transmission fluid. It's hard to see them, but you can check by looking through the back of the passenger side wheel well. The tube is metal. My '13 started seeping a little at about 130,000 miles. I was having a similar look under the truck and noticed I was slowly loosing coolant. Didn't seem to leak while driving, but eventually got to the point that you'd get a small puddle of coolant after parking. Just a thought on something to check.

If you are getting oil leakage never drive your car in this situation. Did you get any engine codes on the dashboard.

You may be having any leak on the drain plug or any problem with the oil filter check them immediately.

Get in there with flashlight and mirror-on-a-stick, and track the leak to its source, or pay someone $150/hr to do it for you.
