Default Need help ac

I need help with the ac in my 2010 ford f150. I bought it in the winter so I never needed to use the ac and now I have and it wasn't super cold. So I added some ac pro to it and the pressure still wasn't enough. Now I hooked it up today after buying another bottle and the pressure was in the red after just hooking it up. I thought it was the gauge not reading right so I tapped it a little to put some more in there to see if the pressure would go back down on the gauge but it didn't. I went inside and now it's blowing warm air on ac. What should I do? And yes the first time I checked it it did have the compressor thing running and I did have it turned all the way up on speed and cold. I need help I'm panicking now lol.

Sounds like you either over charged it or there is a blockage, are the electric cooling fans coming on when you turn the a/c on or do you have a belt driven fan clutch?

I'm pretty sure I overcharged it... but yea I think it was coming on. I took it to the shop and they are looking at it and said they will drain it out and check for a leak.

Lol hopefully mine will then after I get it back... I have a super cab also. And the only reason I was messing with it was because we are going on a long trip, and I will have my dog in the back seat, so I didn't want him getting too hot. (Chocolate lab inside dog)

It's also a good idea to indirectly clean the condenser with a pressure washer from time to time to clean out the road grime.
