Spark plugs. Especially in the ecoboost. Change them and your miss/rough idle should go away. I believe they should be gapped to .030" someone correct me if I am wrong.

Agreed... spark plugs.

I changed mine when I bought my 11 ecoboost a few weeks ago... I was having the same issue. My truck had 86000 on it. Changed them, gapped them at .030, as stated by doctoschlachter, and she's been purring since.

It's a simple job to change them on this truck as well. None of them were hard to get to.

Default Full throttle miss

Thanks guys, I will change spark plugs. Do you recomend brushing out
the plug holes or just do this like on the old cars?

I just swapped mine. I don't even know what brushing out the holes it. lol. I did put some anti-sieze on them, even though they say you don't need it anymore. sockets, extension, and a universal joint are all I needed. I will say you might want to blow some compressed air to get all the crud away from the hole before removing the plugs. There was a good bit of dirt/junk that I got out of there.

You might also want to change to boots out on the coils also.

Good point. I did not end up changing my boots, but only because they were out of stock.

Changed plugs and wire boots, truck runs great! Could not believe plugs could make it run so rough.
Thanks for the good advice
