Default Help please.

So I put a new set of intake gaskets on my 97 4.6. Everything went smooth but when we started the truck for the first time it has a bad miss and a slight knocking sound on the drivers side. I am thing maybe got a peace of trash in a injector. Has any one ever had this problem or know any one who has.

You didn't drop a bolt down an intake runner did you? All fasteners and nuts accounted for?

Are all COP and boots connected really well to spark plugs?

Have you tried switching the plug and injector with another cyl to see if you get the fault code to follow? If not, it would rule those out.

Edit: NVM, I see you said you put in new ones... are there any nicked/frayed wires going into the COP?

The misfire codes are sketchy though lol-- I kid you not, I was getting a P0301 for my coolant being a tad low. Filled it up and it cleared.

Well did some test and the 6th cylinder intake valve is gone and the piston rings are gone. Idk how after just doing a intake gasket job cause that much of a problem. I am just going to do a motor swap may even do a 5.4 swap have a wrecked one already.

Did you drain the cooling system before you pulled the intake? If not you likely had coolant leak into the cylinder and when you fired the engine up it bent and broke things. Liquid don't compress but valves, connecting rods, and piston rings will.

Yeah not a bit of coolant when we did the intake job. It just bam messed up when we started the truck for the first time. It was running great before we put the intake gaskets on it. Just had a coolant leak on the passenger side near number 4 piston. So how the other side of the motor.
