Default Painted Engine Cover

I just ordered a custom painted engine cover from Dave at Zim's garage.
Does anybody else have one of these?

Are you still not able to upload a pic? Just curious were they able to match the factory paint color and what was the cost?

Awesome covers! thanks for the pics.

@stingray1300 when you did yours what paint did you use? I have seen some places they say to use the high heat paint but I am wanting to do something like yours with the magnetic color to match the truck. I love the details you have on it.

Yes I did post it Here it is again. The colors are factory for my truck. This is a new cover not the original. it is done with all High heat paint. a lot of time & labor is involved. I tried doing one on my dodge all I did after a week of working on it was ruin it. I see that some people were able to do a decent job on their covers. I decided to just buy one.

I am fortunate enough to have an auto body/paint supplier near me. I used the same OEM paint that the local Ford dealer repair shop would use. Used factory paint codes.

Like I said before Mine was done with high heat paint Factory color to match my truck. I did not paint it myself. David from Zim's Garage did mine for me. He has done a lot of them for people. Check out his web site at Zim"s Garage

2016 Mustang 5.0 Vert

I had my 5.0 done in my Mustang. But upon taking delivery of the 2018 Platinum 5.0 I found the manifold and valve covers are different. They have no bosses molded in for the grommet posts. So there is no ability to add the covers unless you swap the FI manifold and valve covers first. Oh well.
