I'm considering doing this aftermarket kit. Still doing research on compatibility / reliability etc. If all checks out I think I will bite the bullet and do it.

The 2 things I really wanted in my 16 XLT were push button start and power folding mirrors. I bought two mirrors form another member here already and will attempt to make that work but want to have this ready to do at the same time so I don't have to take my door panels off twice.

Do you have a link to this set up assuming plug and play? Waiting on bed cover now, need to install leveling kit, tired after that, and then leaning towards the bed rug. I'll put lights after that pending reliability and ease of install. Thanks in advance.

My 2015 had button start.
I was happy to see my 2016 doesn't.
I prefer the traditional key in the ignition and turn. ☺

Does anyone have insight on this and is this something I can add for a reasonable price?
Not to sidetrack this, but I like the key in my XLT. We just bought a Highlander and I do not like the push button start, or "smart" lock and unlock functions.

Prime example of why it’s so difficult to find anything in the forums. Why is it so difficult to keep your non-relevant opinions to yourself? No one cares if you prefer a key more, no one wants to hear “you should’ve bought the more expensive truck”. Some of you making these comments that have a lot of knowledge and no people or have come across post or people have done what OP is looking for.

youve been a forum member for almost 3 years, have 6 posts, you last posted back in 2021, then you log on to open up a thread from 2016 to complain about non-relevant opinions?

hmmmmm

Yes, a thread from 2016 that is still relevant today and comes up regularly. What’s your point?
