wtf happened??
While driving I went to select a track off one of my two USB drives (which I mostly use compared to radio) when I see the dreaded "a fatal error has occurred" (think windows) pop up in the background of the quadrant. It was hard to make out because it clearly was in the background and not supposed to be there. The screen went black and I lost all power to the unit. Couldn't turn it back on. After about a minute it came on, then went to a sync screen and said "performing scheduled maintenance" before going black again, then turning on. It did this a second time immediately after but hasn't done it since. Has this happened to anyone else??
This happened to me twice within the first week of owning the vehicle (June 22nd) and then it didn't happen again until today after I recalibrate my speedometer.
It runs it's little "Scheduled Maintenance" deal then everything is fine. Seems to only happen when my phone is plugged in. Probably not a good example since my phone is plugged in most of the time.

The scheduled maintenance is normal; it should happen from time to time. If it becomes a problem and happens too often, I recommend a master reset: http://owner.ford.com/sync-technology/perform-master-reset-sync-myford-touch
Also, log into your Owner account to check for updates: Owner.Ford.com Once you're logged in, select the SYNC & HOW TOS tab then CHECK FOR SOFTWARE UPDATES.

This might sound a little stupid...but.... make sure you don't have any "protected" files. My system hard crashed and would keep doing so until I found three files in my library that couldn't be played.
