Looks like you answered your own question. (now you can ask who makes the best oil filter)

Your conventional oil should be fine for 6000 kms. I wouldn't worry about it, so long as you used the correct weight / grade.

Mine is nearing 2 years old, no oil change yet. Oil life say 37%. So if see a sale at the quick lane may do it.
Otherwise will not bother till monitor blinks or whatever it does.

Something wrong there. It should go down to 0 after one year.

I just noticed this today. Not a good pic but it's the little sticker that they put in the corner of your windshield. I always just buy The Works. I don't know if this means anything but l'll find out.

I don't know if this sticker on the windshield means anything or not but I'll find out. I always just ask for The Works.

Why not just use what the owner`s manual recommends ?

Somethings not right.

If your information display resets
prematurely or becomes inoperative, you
should perform the oil change interval at
six months or 5000 miles (8000
kilometers) from your last oil change.
Never exceed one year or 10000 miles
(16000 kilometers) between oil change
intervals.

ended up grabbing a couple jugs of mobil 1 i think extended performance? 5w20 from walmart since canadian tire was closed after i got off work, they had the stuff in store. way easier/faster changing the oil this time, only 1 belly pan to remove (since i didn't have to do the filter) and i grabbed a long funnel since the fill port is under part of the air intake in a hard to get spot, made a mess the first time...also jacked up the driver side to get under it this time and a small impact gun to get the belly pan off way faster.... if anyone asks, you can just tell them i was doing a new engine flush instead of messing up the oil type. i was actually surprised the oil was already pretty dark, i only drove it for about 200km, about 125 miles for you southern folk. not terrible, but still less golden than i had expected...
