Default Windshield replacement issues

My husband had the windshield replaced on his F150 this week and now the truck is having electrical issues - including the power steering not working so we can't drive it. Anyone else experience this?

I really can't see how changing the windshield would cause electrical problems, what else is not working? Truck starts ok? Original Battery?

I experienced electrical gremlins after a shop disconnected a battery and accidentally shorted the terminal. Otherwise, a windshield replacement has the potential to impact lane keeping assist and in some cases collision alert. My truck had to be reset by the dealer after windshield replacement.

starts but all sorts of warning ligjts come on. No power steering or brakes. Fine prior to windshield replacement

Check for water ingress. Check the carpet against the firewall and along the base of the plastic panels on the sides. A friend of a friend had the windshield replaced and it was very shody workmanship. It turned out the base of the windshield wasn't well sealed and the water leaked in and started shorting a few wires at the connection points. It became a real problem because corrrosion quickly set in on the connections.

Did it rain after the windshield change?

did they use a ford windshield? with these new fancy features like forward facing cameras, lane keep assist and precollision warning. aftermarket windshields are a no go anymore
